Brazil: CADE approves Total Eren’s acquisition of solar projects

 |  June 19, 2018

Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) approved the acquisition of three solar power generation companies with a combined capacity of 90MW, by French company Total Eren SA.

The renewable energy company, in which the French oil group Total SA has a major share, will buy the Dracena 1, Dracena II and Dracena IV photovoltaic projects, put on sale by local company Cobra Brasil Servicos, Comunicacoes e Energia SA.

The agreement is seen by CADE and Total as a good opportunity for increasing the power generation capacity of the company within Brazil, adding it to the more than 900MW of renewable energy generating capacity that Total Eren has around the world.
