Competitechs: A View to Some Aspects of Antitrust Law in Technology Markets

In this paper the authors analyze the main features of technology markets in its various forms and how Antitrust Law has focused on the behavior of these markets. The article proposes that several economists appreciate that economic growth has been led by high-tech industries, that has meant an increasing concerning by the Law, which in Latin American doctrine has led to the notion of “Technologic public Order.” Similarly, although it is noted that there are highly contestable and dynamic technology markets, subsist pronounced anticompetitive risks, manifested primarily in the area of abuse of dominance o monopolization, becoming one of the major current challenges for the Antitrust authorities. Our research shows dispersion of criteria in the jurisprudential treatment on these markets especially in the definition of relevant markets.
