US: Officials in Time-Warner merger discussions with AT&T

 |  July 24, 2017

Sources familiar with the situation have reported that US antitrust officials have started talking with both Time Warner and AT&T to discuss possible merger conditions.

These talks indicate that the months-long review of how the merger would change the media industry has nearly come to an end.

The merger has an additional complication with the US Department of Justice still not having an antitrust chief, as President Trump’s nominee Makan Delrahim is still waiting for confirmation from the Senate.
