Lars Persson's fields of interest are competition policy, entrepreneurship, industrial economics, international investments, and venture capital and private equity. Currently Lars Persson is conducting research on (i) the interaction between entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and oligopolists in the innovation process, (ii) private equity corporate restructuring, (iii) taxes and entreprenurial innovations (iv) international mergers and corporate restructuring.
Further, Lars Persson is Adjoint Professor at the School of Economics and Management, Lund University, CESifo Fellow (Center for Economic Studies) at the University of Munich, Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) London, and Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum. He is also member of the prize committee of Global Award for Entrepreneurship Research. He has served as an economic expert judge at the District Court of Stockholm, and has been Visiting Professor at the European University Institute and Purdue University.
