Spencer Smith

Spencer Smith is the Wachtell Lipton Fellow in Behavioral Law and Economics at the University of Chicago Law School. He is interested in economic and empirical analysis of law, particularly in the areas of antitrust, discrimination, and taxation. His writing has appeared or is forthcoming in the Harvard Law Review and the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy. Spencer received a JD magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review.  He also holds a DPhil and MPhil with distinction from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Marshall Scholar, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. Previously, he worked for President Obama's Council of Economic Advisers and for the Brookings Institution.
