 |  January 25, 2012

Two brothers formerly at Ocwen, a Florida property management company, pled guilty to wire fraud in connection with housing repair contracts for the VA. Joshua Nusbaum, a former residential sales manager at Ocwen, steered repair contracts to a company affiliated with Andrew Nusbaum, a former contractor, in exchange for cash payments. Competitive bid information and bids were transmitted via wire communication. The Nusbaums face a maximum penalty of 20 years’ imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. The maximum fine may be increased, depending on the gain derived from the acts or the loss suffered by the victims.
