The Competition Commission of India has approved the merger of Sasan Power Infrastructure Ltd. with its parent firm Reliance Power Ltd. Reliance develops and operates power generation projects, including the coal mines for the projects.
The CCI did not find significant competition concerns raised by the merger, as subsidiary and parent are not engaged in supply, distribution, or sale of similar goods or services.
