CCP raids Bank Association office to find evidence of collusion in ATM fees

 |  February 14, 2012

The Competition Commission of Pakistan has raided the office of Pakistan Banks’ Association to find evidence of bank collusion in ATM fees. The raid was prompted by evidence of a discussion on ATM pricing found during the CCP’s investigation for the 1-Link ATM network case (31 banks are members of 1-Link), and by the uniform amount charged for each ATM withdrawal.
