China: Mercedes-Benz provides insight on pricing probe

Mercedes-Benz has provided more insight into China’s investigation of the luxury car company’s pricing practices, say reports.

Recent reports revealed that Mercedes’ offices were raided by Chinese regulators in Shanghai; since, the company has decided to lower some product prices in the nation, a direct response to the probe.

In a statement Tuesday, the company said “we confirm that we are assisting the authorities in their investigation.” China’s National Development and Reform Commission launched the investigation, though exact details of the case were not revealed.
