Colombia: Arris wins antitrust clearance for Pace takeover

Set-top box maker Arris has announced that its proposed acquisition of rival Pace has received unconditional merger clearance from the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce in Colombia after antitrust watchdogs in Portugal, Germany and South Africa previously approved the transaction.

Arris recently revealed that it doesn’t expect its $2.1 billion takeover of Pace to be completed until late December or the first quarter of 2016, compared to the original expectation of late 2015.
