Competition Appeals Tribunal slashes mobile phone termination rate cuts, going beyond Ofcom’s rates

 |  February 15, 2012

The Competition Appeals Tribunal has announced price cuts in calls to a mobile from a landline by 85 percent. The cost per minute will be 0.65p, from 4.18p, by April 2015.

Mobile and fixed line companies had appealed Ofcom’s price cuts to the Tribunal. However, the Tribunal went even further than Ofcom by slashing rates further, from 0.65p from 0.69p, and at a faster rate.
