The European Commission, as part of its probe into Amazon’s data practices, has sent Amazon merchants a 16 page form to be filled out by October 9 asking if Amazon has recently started to sell products under its own brand that are “identical or very similar” to ones merchants have offered on Amazon’s website and what impact that’s had on the smaller businesses.

The questionnaire also asks merchants if they use any data-sharing tools, such as sales optimization, that may be provided by Amazon.
