FTC submits 2013 budget request, asks for $11 million less than 2012

The Federal Trade Commission has submitted its Fiscal Year 2013 budget request to Congress. The FTC asks for $300 million for 2013: $169,517,000 is to go toward protecting consumers, and $130,483,000 toward maintaining competition. The 2013 budget request is less than the appropriation received in 2012, which amounted to $311,563,000.
