FTC votes to approve LabCorp-Orchid divestiture of U.S. government paternity testing services business

The Federal Trade Commission has voted 4-0 to approve a final order settling its charges that LabCorp’s proposed acquisition of Orchid would have illegally reduced competition in the market for paternity testing provided to government agencies. Under the final order, LabCorp must sell Orchid’s U.S. government paternity testing services business to DNA Diagnostics Center.
