LSE Professor Awarded Jean Monnet Chair In Competition And Regulation

Professor Pablo Ibáñez Colomo has been awarded a Jean Monnet Chair in Competition and Regulation. Jean Monnet activities are supported by the European Commission with the aim of promoting excellence in teaching and research activities in EU studies worldwide. 

The award recognizes the Department of Law’s long tradition of excellence in EU law-related subjects and signals its commitment to EU law studies. The Chair will coordinate the creation of new activities, which will focus on Competition Law, State Aid and the Regulation of Network Industries. 

LSE Pro Director for Research, Simon Hix, stated that “this prestigious award underlines LSE Law’s strength and depth of expertise in EU law. LSE is committed to continuing to support teaching and research in EU law, to maintain our status as a leading centre in this field.”
