McGuireWoods announced the arrival of experienced antitrust litigator H. Holden Brooks, who joins McGuireWoods in Chicago and Washington; she was previously a partner with Foley & Lardner.
Ms. Brooks has represented healthcare providers in criminal investigations by the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, as well as the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general. She also guides companies through merger challenges in federal, state and admin courts. Her clients include large nonprofit health systems, physician groups and healthcare startups.
Ms. Brooks also advises public companies, private equity funds and PE-sponsored companies as antitrust counsel on M&A deals, including dispositions.
“Our clients are facing enhanced antitrust enforcement and litigation. Holden’s broad experience in counseling corporate clients on compliance, transactions and litigation deepens our antitrust bench and will be of great benefit to our clients in all industries. Her particular experience in healthcare and private equity fits perfectly with our busy transactional practices and client base in those sectors,” said Dion Hayes, McGuireWoods’ deputy managing partner for litigation.
