Orrick announced that antitrust adviser Lars Mesenbrink has joined the firm as a partner in Düsseldorf.
“A rising star in the German and EU antitrust field, Lars brings deep experience navigating complex antitrust matters. His arrival is well timed to help us meet demand among the firm’s corporate clients,” said Oliver Duys, Co-Leader of Orrick’s German offices with Christoph Brenner.
“I have been deeply impressed by the trajectory of Orrick’s European practice and am excited to be part of the top quality global antitrust and competition team,” said Lars.
Lars advises on all aspects of European and German antitrust and competition law, notably in merger control, cartel investigations, and compliance. He also advises on abuse of dominance investigations and follow-on damages litigation. Well-versed in Chinese, Lars will also work with the firm’s China teams to support cross-border investment activity. He joins Orrick from Hengeler Mueller.
