 |  April 8, 2019

Antitrust watchdog Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) has filed a case against Urban Deca Homes Manila Condominium Corporation and 8990 Holdings for abuse of dominance by imposing its residents to subscribe to a sole internet service provider (ISP).

In a statement, the PCC announced that its Enforcement Office filed a Statement of Objections against the mass housing developer for breaching the antitrust law by engaging in an exclusive internet service tie-up on its property in Tondo, Manila.

According to the PCC, Urban Deca Homes Manila engaged in an exclusive deal with Itech Rar Solutions as its ISP, marking the first abuse of market dominance case filed before the PCC.
