Positive Competition announced that Cyril Hariton has joined its Brussels office as a Partner on January 16, 2021.
This follows a rapid development of Positive Competition’s practice in the last few months, including its collaboration with four very well known senior academic affiliates, the recruitment of Wojciech Dorabialski, former head of the Antitrust Department of the Polish NCA, the opening of its Warsaw office, as well as the move to a new office in the European district in Brussels.
The firm’s tightly integrated international team of economists is now directed by four Partners in two offices. The firm currently has more than 20 highly skilled economists with academic experience from major economic departments in Europe and the US, as well as very relevant enforcement and consulting experience in competition economics. It continues to accept good candidates on a rolling basis.
Prior to joining Positive Competition, Cyril worked for 16 years at the Directorate- General for Competition of the European Competition, including 15 years as a member of the Chief Economist Team. He served under the leadership of the last three Commissioners and all of the past five Chief Economists.
