Eric Stock's practice consists of antitrust and complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on antitrust litigation, government investigations, and commercial disputes. Eric has particular experience in matters at the intersection of antitrust and intellectual property laws, especially in the pharmaceutical, computer, and telecommunications industries. Eric also regularly handles antitrust issues arising in the automotive and transportation industries.
Eric frequently represents clients involved in parallel civil and governmental antitrust proceedings. He has recently been involved in several high-profile civil and governmental proceedings relating to alleged anticompetitive conduct in the computer software industry. Eric regularly counsels clients seeking to reduce antitrust risk, particularly where antitrust issues have arisen in connection with a client's defense of its intellectual property rights or IP licensing strategies.
Eric has particular experience advising pharmaceutical and high technology clients seeking to structure business practices or transactions (such as patent settlements) to minimize antitrust risk. Eric also regularly counsels automobile manufacturers on antitrust and Robinson-Patman Act issues. Prior to joining the firm, Eric clerked for The Honorable Allen G. Schwartz, U.S. District Judge in the Southern District of New York.
