Rachel Brandenburger is a Senior Advisor to Hogan Lovells' Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation practice where she focuses on proceedings before European and other international antitrust agencies. From 2010 - 2013, she was Special Advisor, International to the Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice. Prior to her appointment, Rachel Brandenburger was a partner in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP for 21 years, working in the firm's Antitrust, Competition and Trade Group in Brussels and London. She lead many cases involving investigations into mergers, anti-competitive practices, monopolization or dominant positions, and cartels before the European Commission, the UK competition and regulatory agencies, and other antitrust, competition and regulatory agencies around the world.

Rachel is a Non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network and a member of the International Task force of the American Bar Association's Section of Antitrust Law.
