Russia: Regulator objects to allocation of LTE spectrum to Rostelecom

Russian federal competition regulator FAS has rejected the application by national operator Rostelecom for LTE spectrum in 83 regions, with the aim of providing broadband services for public premises. 

FAS rejected the operator’s request to get the frequencies, in the 2.3-2.4 band,without a tender, reports RBC. The watchdog has sent a  letter on the issue to the state radio frequencies commission SRFC.
