Show cause notices for institutions offering unaccredited engineering degrees

The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) has issued show cause notices to 27 educational institutions for offering unaccredited engineering degrees and courses. The institutions falsely claimed in print and electronic advertisements that they were accredited, approved, allowed or permitted by the Pakistan Engineering Council. Such offers constitute deceptive marketing practices in violation of Section 10 of the Competition Act, 2010.
