Southbank gets watchdog approval for Travel Channel International Ltd.

Ireland’s Competition Authority has cleared Southbank’s proposed acquisition of sole control over Travel Channel International Limited. Southbank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Scripps. The Travel Channel joins Scripps’ HGTV, Food Network, and DIY Network. Travel Channel International will be acquired via a $103 million share purchase agreement.
