 |  March 15, 2023

T-Mobile has agreed to a deal that will grant the network operator access to Ka’ena Corporation’s prepaid brands, including Mint Mobile, Ultra Mobile, and wireless wholesaler Plum, CNET reported.

With this move, T-Mobile reinforces its commitment to provide customers with high-quality coverage and data plans at an affordable price point. This new acquisition is expected to expand T-Mobile’s prepaid customer base and give it a competitive edge over other wireless carriers in the market.

The deal, which could be worth “up to a maximum of $1.35 billion in a combination of 39% cash and 61% stock” according to a press release, will see T-Mobile bring the brands, which already run on its network, more directly into its operations.

Ryan Reynolds, part owner of Mint and the public face for wireless carrier-related advertising and projects, will continue to work in a creative capacity for Mint going forward. That’s according to the official press release from T-Mobile. Both parties value Reynold’s capability in terms of delivering quality creativity to help propel their services forward.
