TE Connectivity’s acquisition of Deutsch approved

The European Commission has approved TE Connectivity’s proposed acquisition of Deutsch. TE designs, manufactures, and markets electronic connectors; Deutsch manufactures connectors.

The Commission’s market investigation revealed that the merging parties “operate on different ends of the product spectrum,” as Deutsch’s connectors were used for different applications. The Commission also found that competitors and alternative suppliers would remain in the market after the deal.
