Federal Trade Commission deputy assistant director of mergers Jonathan S. Klarfeld has reportedly announced plans to join law firm Ropes & Gray LLP in Washington, D.C. after 13 years at the regulator.
Klarfeld lead merger investigations and challenges at the FTC and will now join Ropes & Gray as partner; Ropes & Gray head of antitrust Mark Popofsky described Klarfeld as having “an unparalleled depth of knowledge and experience” to the benefit of the firm’s antitrust cases.
