US: Antitrust partner takes over as new Vinson & Elkins manager

Vinson & Elkins has announced a new managing partner for its office Houston, according to reports.

Antitrust lawyer and V&E partner Karl S. Stern will take on the new role, replacing Marie Yeates, who served as managing partner for more than six years.

According to reports, Stern has been at the firm since 1982 and specializes in antitrust claims and merger and acquisition disputes, among other specialties.

Stern’s current position as leader of the Global Litigation & Regulatory Department will be carried on by partner Jim Thompson, according to the firm.
