Latham & Watkins announced that Jamie Underwood has joined the firm’s Washington, DC office as a partner in the Litigation & Trial Department and as a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. She is a talented patent litigator with a successful track record representing leading technology and automotive clients in actions before the International Trade Commission (ITC).
Underwood has handled dozens of ITC investigations involving patent infringement, as well as trademark, trade secret, copyright, and antitrust issues. As a function of her ITC work, Underwood has also represented clients in ancillary matters before US Customs and Border Protection, as well as in appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In addition, Underwood litigates district court patent cases and advises companies on legislative policy issues before Congress, federal agencies, and the administration.
