The Brattle Group today announced that Skadden antitrust partner, James A. Keyte, will join the firm as the Director of Global Development, effective January 1. In this new position, Mr. Keyte is expected to leverage his practical experience and industry knowledge to give Brattle a competitive advantage among economics experts.
In a statement, former Federal Trade Commission (FTC) chair, Bill Kovacic said, “The law firms that deal with Brattle should be thrilled, as James has a unique ability to translate complex antitrust economics into understandable prose.”
O’Melveny partner, Rich Parker added, “Keyte is an outstanding antitrust thinker and lawyer who has a particular facility for working with economic experts, no matter how complex the matter. He will bring a skill set and perspective to Brattle that is unique to the economic marketplace.”
Mr. Keyte spent more than twenty years as a partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he led numerous high-profile antitrust matters and cases involving alleged price-fixing, monopolization, intellectual property licensing, and sports-related antitrust claims, many of which involved class actions. He also led the firm in a number of high-profile mergers, several of which involved litigation challenges by the Justice Departmenr and the FTC.
