Jonathan Mark is a Senior Assistant Attorney General and Division Chief of the Antitrust Division of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. He previously served as a staff attorney in the Division from 2006-2013, and as the Acting Division Chief from 2013-2014. He has represented the state in antitrust litigation and appeals, and has investigated complaints of anticompetitive conduct and mergers in an array of industries, including the healthcare, pharmaceutical, transportation, and internet advertising industries. He has provided advice and training on competition policy issues to a variety of state agencies, he served previously as a member of the Executive Committee of the Washington State Bar Association’s Antitrust, Consumer Protection, and Unfair Business Practices Section, and is a frequent speaker at antitrust seminars and training. In 2013, Attorney General Bob Ferguson awarded Jonathan the William V. Tanner Award for excellence in legal skills, public service, and contributions to the legal profession.
Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Jonathan served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John C. Coughenour of the Western District of Washington. He received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law in 2006, and a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from Brandeis University in 2003.
