Patricia Alessandra Morita Sakowski
Patricia Morita Sakowski is Deputy-Chief Economist at Cade. Patricia coordinates the BRICS' Authorities Working Group on Digital Economy and leads Cade’s Working Group on Digital Economy, responsible for ensuring that the Brazilian antitrust authority is up-to-date with the challenges of the digital era. In that position, Patricia coordinated the drafting and release of the First Report of the BRICS Competition Authorities Working Group on Digital Economy during the VI BRICS International Competition Conference in Moscow, Russia. Patricia has also worked in the economic assessment of different investigations involving digital markets and played a leading role in the development of important publications by Cade, such as the Remedies Guidelines and the Gun Jumping Resolution. Patricia holds a bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo and a Master’s Degree in Economics from Hitotsubashi University in Japan. She is also a researcher and public servant at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea).
