Paulo Burnier da Silveira is currently a Senior Competition Expert at the OECD. Amongst his activities, he serves as OECD’s contact person for the OECD Regional Centre for Competition (RCC) in Latin America, which provides training activities and policy advice for competition officials from the region. He is also a Law Professor at the University of Brasilia (on leave) and a former Commissioner at the Brazilian Competition Authority (CADE). He has several publications in the field of competition law and policy, including the books "Direito da Concorrência" (Forense, 2021), “Global Competition Enforcement: New Players, New Challenges” (Kluwer, 2019), “Competition Law and Policy in Latin America” (Kluwer, 2017) and “Le Contrôle des Concentrations Transnationales” (Harmattan, 2013). He was also the lead editor of CADE’s Competition Journal from 2013 to 2019.
