US: Judge rules New Jersey heart center cannot pursue antitrust lawsuit

A federal appeals court ruled that Deborah Heart & Lung Center could not pursue antitrust claims against a group of doctors, the New Jersey Law Journal reports.

Deborah Heart & Lung Center, based in Browns Mills, New Jersey, had filed an antitrust lawsuit against the Cardiology Group and Virtua Memorial Hospital after the hospital and group of physicians entered into an agreement. However, the judge ruled that the agreement hindered Deborah Heart & Lung Center’s ability to conduct business.
