 |  September 25, 2016

Alain Kaloyeros, the now suspended president and CEO of SUNY Polytechnic Institute, pleaded not guilty in City Court last Friday after he was arraigned on three state felony charges regarding the alleged bid-rigging of development projects in Albany as well as central and western New York.

Kaloyeros, and Joseph Nicolla, one of Albany’s most prominent developer, were charged in a complaint Thursday by state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

After the plea, Kaloyeros was released on his own recognizance and usheredout of the courthouse by his lawyers. The trial will now go before a jury.
