What kind of Net Neutrality Regulation Does Mexico Want?

Net neutrality (NN) has been an issue that has preoccupied consumers, firms and regulators over the past decade. It raises fundamental questions about how to appraise policies which impact upon both consumer welfare and wider social and political goals. In terms of economic regulation, NN proposals typically focus upon: traffic management practice implemented by internet service providers (ISPs) in relation to content an applications providers (CAPs), possible anti-competitive conduct by ISPs, and financial relations between ISPs and CAPs, and notes the relevant measures adopted in the US, the European Union and certain Latin American countries. Finally it discusses options to resolve the NN issues which confront Mexico.
