Abstract:     I provide an intuitive guide to some fundamental concepts in machine learning and artificial intelligence through a series of simple examples. I also discuss examples of how these technologies are applied in law and economics. The goal of this article is to give antitrust attorneys and economists enough background knowledge to engage in meaningful conversations about the risks and rewards of AI.
