Apple Enters Multibillion-Dollar Deal With Broadcom For US Chips

Apple announced a business agreement with Broadcom to produce microchips in the United States for a significant sum of money.

According to Apple, Broadcom, a company specializing in technology and advanced manufacturing, will be responsible for creating 5G radio frequency components and wireless connectivity components as part of the agreement.

Apple plans to manufacture and design certain components, such as FBAR filters, in various technology hubs located in the United States, including Fort Collins, Colorado.

“All of Apple’s products depend on technology engineered and built here in the United States, and we’ll continue to deepen our investments in the US economy because we have an unshakable belief in America’s future,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a statement.

The company has invested billions of dollars in the development of 5G technology in the US This investment is part of Apple’s commitment, which was announced in 2021, to invest $430 billion in the US economy over the next five years.
