German industrial group Mauser, which specializes in plastic containers and packaging, has announced their purchase of Brazil’s Greif Inc.’s IBC plastic barrels manufacturing division, for an undisclosed amount.
The investment reaffirms Mauser’s commitment to their Brazilian market, as well as to their own global growth. The switch from manufacturing Greif to Mauser products will take place immediately, hoping for a smooth transition to be completed by June this year.
Edson Rossi, Mauser Brazil’s Vice-president for Sales and Marketing, sought to reassure Greif’s clients, who are affected by the change, that the move will take place without setbacks and that they will “work with our customers to provide the best solutions the market has to offer.”
