Brazilian antitrust policy towards bid rigging: History and perspectives

Key senior staff of the Brazilian antitrust authority, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (known as “CADE”, for its Portuguese acronym), have affirmed that fighting bid rigging will be one of the agency’s priorities in the coming years. In view of that, the present article aims at providing a succinct analysis of the historical developments of this enforcement area in Brazil, as well as possible future developments.
