Swiss multinational SoftwareOne has acquired 40% of Colombian company InterGrupo. The Colombian startup has extensive experience in development processes, modernization of applications, and innovation.
Although the amount of the transaction has not yet been disclosed, InterGrupo expects to grow 15% annually by becoming an integral part of the SoftwareOne Group, as it will continue to act as a separate entity based in the Colombian city of Medellin.
“This shows that our national industry is up to competing internationally, as is the case also for Siigo, Ciesa, Digitalware, among others that also have foreign capital investment. This shows our national industry is globally competitive,” said Paola Restrepo, executive president of the Colombian Federation of Software and IT Industries (Fedesoft).
