CDC Holdings Colombiana – a subsidiary of the US group UnitedHealth – acquired the remaining 50 percent of Clínica del Country, the Country Administrator and the La Colina Administrator. The amount of this operation has not been disclosed. It was also determined that the 11 main clinics in Bogota generate annual revenues of 2.58 billion pesos (approximately 800,000 USD).
In the sector of solid waste management, Industria Ambiental announced the acquisition of assets of the Innovative Andina company related to the collection and sale of cardboard and plastics. Among the points of the agreement is the hiring of employees by Industria Ambiental.
Finally, in the industrial sector, the purchase of part of the Linde and Praxair business in North America was completed by Messer Industries, a joint venture between the German Messer Group and the CVC Capital Partners Fund VII fund. It deals with the purchase of most of the business of industrial and medicinal gases from the German company Linde in North and South America, including Colombia.
