Colombia: SIC reaches agreement with comptroller to strengthen investigations

 |  July 23, 2019
The Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic and the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) of Colombia have signed an agreement that will allow the agencies to solidify their investigations and probes, allowing the SIC to provide the Office of the Comptroller with more information regarding investigations in the field of competition and cartelization, while the Comptroller would share information obtained during investigations related to the fight against corruption.

Both institutions have committed to protecting the due confidentiality of information shared through the agreement, which would last initially for 4 years.

“The signing of this agreement is of great relevance, since it is one of the activities necessary for the strengthening of the Comptroller’s Contract Information Center (OCEAN),” said the Comptroller General of the Republic, Carlos Felipe Córdoba Larrarte.
