Comcast Looks To Sell Hulu To Disney Next Year

 |  May 16, 2023

According to Comcast Chief Executive Brian Roberts, it is expected that Comcast will sell its 33% share in Hulu to Disney at the start of 2024.

In 2019, Comcast and Disney made a deal which granted Disney the opportunity to purchase Comcast’s minority stake in 2024. This agreement established a minimum valuation of $27.5 billion for Hulu, reported CNBC.

“It’s more likely than not we will go through with what we’ve said all along,” Roberts said at the SVB MoffettNathanson investor conference. “The vast majority case is that we’ll put and they’ll call in the beginning of next year.”

According to Roberts, it is probable that the ultimate price for Hulu will exceed the initial valuation of $27.5 billion established in 2019.
