Fenwick announced that Steve Albertson is joining the firm as an antitrust & trade regulation partner, based in Washington, DC.
Albertson represents technology and life sciences clients in mergers and acquisitions reviewed by the Antitrust Division of the Justice Department and the Federal Trade Commission. He has in-depth experience counseling clients on a range of antitrust compliance and merger enforcement issues. His most recent experience includes working under Section 7 of the Clayton Act and conducting investigations brought under Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act.
Albertson advises clients on all aspects of Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act issues and assists with reporting and notification requirements. He has extensive involvement steering large M&A transactions through merger reviews.
“Our technology and life sciences clients are growing rapidly and driving incredible demand for our mergers and acquisition services,” said Fenwick chair Richard Dickson. “Steve is a key addition as we guide clients through more complex and regulated technology transactions.”
“Our M&A activity has grown significantly in recent years, and our top-ranked M&A team will be partnering with Steve to assist clients with their antitrust counseling and compliance needs,” said Fenwick corporate practice chair Alan Smith. “Steve is a great collaborative fit and brings exciting opportunities for our antitrust regulatory practice.”
“I’m excited to join Fenwick and broaden its deep antitrust experience,” Albertson said. “The firm’s platform presents great opportunities to grow my practice, and I’m looking forward to helping our clients succeed in an increasingly regulatory-focused environment.”
