Mexico: Carlos Slim takes over 33% of Miniso chain

The Sanborns Group, owned by Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim, completed the acquisition of shares in the Chinese company Miniso, reaching a 33.27% stake.

“Sanborns informs the investing public that it has reached a definitive agreement to subscribe on this same date a capital increase in Miniso BF Holding …” the group announced last July 15.

Miniso, a Chinese “fast fashion” brand, offers products at low prices worldwide, with branches in 18 states across Mexico and global participation in areas such as healthcare, beauty, fashion, cosmetics, home decoration, gifts, technology , and more.
