Mexico: IFT launches digital platform to report anti-competitive practices

Mexico’s Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) has launched a new Electronic Reporting System for the Investigative Authority (SEPDAI), allowing users to report alleged monopolistic practices in the telecommunications sector. The system will allow any person to report via the internet the possible existence of such illegal practices.

The process provides tools to file the complaint, as well as to follow up on the process that results, whether it is the beginning of an investigation or the complaint is rejected as inadmissible.

The system seeks to combat the existence of illegal practices and illicit concentrations, using technological tools.
