Russia: Gazprom planning settlement offer to end EU probe

 |  December 4, 2013

State-owned gas monopoly Gazprom is reportedly planning to offer a settlement to the European Commission in efforts to quell competition concerns that the Russian firm is abusing its market dominance by imposing unfair prices in central and eastern Europe.

After more than a year, reports say Gazprom will now present an offer to the Commission to end the probe, though reports did not say what that offer could entail.
