Ryan International Airlines defrauder sentenced to prison and fine

Robert A. Riddell was sentenced to 24 months in prison and $131,540 in restitution for his role in a conspiracy to defraud Ryan International Airlines. Riddell had owned and operated an aviation security and ground services company in Florida.

On October 17, 2011, Riddell pled guilty to making kickback payments amounting to over $330,000 to Wayne E. Kepple, former vice president of ground operations for Ryan. In exchange for the kickbacks, Kepple awarded business to Ridell’s company, which provided Ryan with ground security and ground services coordination for flights in Europe.
