Spain: CNMC investigates anti-competitive practices in fish-farming

 |  October 31, 2017

Spain’s National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) has carried out a series of raids at the headquarters of different companies operating in the aquaculture market, on suspicion of anti-competitive practices prohibited by the country’s Competition laws, specifically, price-fixing and market fragmentation.

Inspectors working with regional competition authorities participated along with the CNMC in carrying out the raids.

The raids carried, out on October 25, 26 and 27, are a first step in investigating the alleged anticompetitive conduct and do not imply guilt for the companies involved.
